BIOGRAPHY
My
visual art education was secured in 1975-81 with BA and MA degrees
from The George
Washington University in painting, art history and museum education;
teaching certification from George Mason University; embellished
by a few awards of distinction; sharpened by four years as gallery
director at the Emerson Gallery in McLean, Virginia
and
as Director of Education and Exhibit Programming at GRACE in
Reston, Virginia; taught to others as an instructor of art to
all age groups; and matured as a museum educator
who
worked with nearly 300 traveling and home-based exhibitions
as the Associate Curator of Education at the Corcoran Gallery
of Art from 1981-2000. The past twenty years have been devoted
to drawing, painting, and experimenal art methods in both Castleton,
Virginia and Monterey, California studios. |
