Indian Point, Delaware

Indian Point, Delaware

The rising of the sun greets a quiet wave on the Atlantic shore just south of Cape Henlopen. Delaware Indians woodland people of the Algonquian language groups camped here during summers for centuries to fish and collect shellfish. In the autumn they returned to their villages for harvest and hunting of animals "very fatt in the Fall of the Leaf."
