A roundup in the beautiful glacial Ruby Mountains near Elko. Calves are roped, dragged, branded, de-horned, de-tested, and immunized in 90 seconds or less. Ropers in stetsons and ball caps sit on dignified horses while dust swirls, smoke rises, lariats whirl and anguished cows and their beseeched calves bawl pitifully.
