Mt Rainier, Washington

Mt Rainier National Park, Washington

This beautifully shaped mountain that rises three miles, or 14,410 feet, into the sky is also one of the world's largest volcanoes. It is surrounded by meadows full of briefly blooming wildflowers, mountain goats, black bear and enthusiastic climbers. Environmentalist John Muir called it the "noblest of all the coastal fire mountains."
